On a Thanksgiving Day

On a Thanksgiving day

that's not too far away

I think back to when I wrote this

and the love that I have for you

and how we said that we'd make

it all right...

Now...

… in everything we are grateful

our little home is cozy too

We've made peace our home

our kindness is made known

We lend a hand to the poor and needy
because that is what we want to do

We reach out to the sick and hurting

and let them see there is true compassion

We are content with all that we have
and satisfied with all of the goodness
God has placed in our Thanksgiving home

On a Thanksgiving day, that's not too far away...
