“When you are able to maintain your own highest standards of integrity - regardless of what others may do - you are destined for greatness.”
― Napoleon Hill, Napoleon Hill's Positive Action Plan: 365 Meditations For Making Each Day a Success
My major goal in life has always been ''to change the world and make it better for this and future generations''. But I was unable to fully achieve my goal because I did not fully understand how and therefor couldn't even truly begin. I drifted along with lots of knowledge, of lots of things but with little wisdom. I had even studied Napoleon Hill and his mentor Andrew Carnegie plus many others including King Solomon by the time I graduated from high school. I just did not pay attention to the very simple instructions that I was uncovering at every turn. I had focused on knowledge, but it was only trivia without the wisdom to use that knowledge. Was it fate? Or Destiny that I should spend forty-two years looking for meaning in life and not finding it? It is of no importance now. What is important is that I have found it and that I can now refine and perfect this 'Secret', this wisdom - not only for myself but for those around me, my family, my community and my world.
How do you receive wisdom? Just ask God for it, like Solomon did. Then you must pay attention to the instructions - look and listen. Solomon, the son of David then became the richest, most powerful human being on earth - in effect, a Superman. Everyone and I mean everyone has the potential to achieve a better life, a good, happy, and rewarding life according to his or her God given talents.
The Riches that Dr. Hill mentions in his book Think and Grow Rich are the blessings that God endows us all with at birth. But there are also penalties for not accessing these blessings or gifts. You will see below that the penalties are the opposites of the blessings - that is how the universe is constructed - upon Positives(+) and Negatives(-).
[for the curious, an explanation can be found here.]
1 Sound health.
2 Peace of mind.
3 A labor of love of your own choice.
4 Freedom from fear and worry.
5 A positive mental attitude.
6 Material riches of your own choice and quantity.
The Penalties (list of the prices one must pay for neglecting to take possession of one's own mind)
1 Ill health.
2 Fear and worry.
3 Indecision and doubt.
4 Frustration and discouragement through out life.
5 Poverty and want.
6 And a whole flock of evils consisting of envy, greed, jealousy, anger, hatred and superstition.
How does one take possession of ones own mind and create a completely positive thought pattern and avoid poverty and misery? First absorb the information that Dr. Hill presents in this priceless movie. Do not let the age of this movie fool you. All the steps taught and outlined are valid. All the information herein can be had in modern, updated form for hundreds of dollars but most 21st century programs are not as good. Second, practice all that Dr. Hill teaches. Get the book, Think and Grow Rich. If you can not afford it, get it at the library. But do it.
It will change your life!
